James Strong, the chairman of local organising committee of the 2015 World Cup died at the age of 68 years on 3 March 2013 in Sydney.
ICC World Cup chief executive John Harnden, in the meanwhile announced that Strong’s successor would be made in a due course of time.
About James Strong:-
• James Strong was chief executive and managing director of Australian airline Qantas from 1993 to 2001.
• He also remained the Chairman of Australia Council for the Arts, apart from holding senior roles in Rip Curl, IAG, Kathmandu and Woolworths.
