Air Vice Marshal VS Bharti YSM VM VSM took over as the Senior Air &
Administrative Staff Officer (SAASO), Maintenance Command, Indian Air
Force on 11 April 2013. He replaced AVM JS Kler. AVM JS Kler, took over
as the head of Air Wing of Border Security Force.
About VS Bharti YSM VM VSM:-
• VS Bharti YSM VM VSM was commissioned into helicopter stream of Indian Air Force on 11 December 1981.
• He joined National Defence Academy (NDA) in 1978.
• He has logged more than 5400 hours in every role.
• He played an active role in IPKF Operations at Sri Lanka and was awarded Yudha Seva Medal for the same.
• Before being the SAASO Maintenance Command, IAF, he served as the Air Attache at KYIV Ukraine, Director IDC at Air Headquaters, SASO at Air Officer Commanding J & K, Air Officer Commanding Air Force Station Yelahanka and Deputy Commandant Air Force Academy.
