Ekta-Tusshar to make a documentary to mark Jeetendra’s golden jubilee

Jeetendra turns 71 on April 7. Instead of throwing a lavish party, his daughter Ekta Kapoor intends to fly her parents Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor to the Vaishno Devi shrine near Jammu to seek blessings of the deity.

Tusshar, who is promoting Shootout At Wadala, is not expected to join the family. However, sources say the siblings are also planning a special documentary on their father, who is perhaps one of the few Bollywood superstars to have completed 50 years in films. Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand have also had golden jubilee runs. Amitabh Bachchan has completed 44 years in the industry and Rishi Kapoor has had a 40-year run as an actor.

Tusshar, of course, refused to give away any details on the documentary. He just said, "It's a thought. I don't wish to give away any details at this juncture. How soon we can execute the documentary and whether it is just for personal consumption or whether we will decide to make it public, is something I cannot say at this point. But we do intend to do something to mark dad's golden jubilee in films."
