A moderate earthquake in southwest China has caused hundreds of homes to collapse and injured more than 20 people.
The earthquake bureau in Yunnan province, where 3rd March 2013 afternoon’s quake occurred, says three of the injuries were serious.
The official Xinhua News Agency says the quake damaged 2,500 houses and that 700 others collapsed.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-5.5 quake struck 51 km from Dali city at a depth of 33 km.
